There's a mistake in that rage as you've included KcTc (We have the Kc) and not KhTh (which has a ton more equity). I also think him calling with KT and 9s is pretty optimistic vs an unknown with no history, but who knows, I could be wrong on that one and it could differ among stakes and sites.

But it's definitely something to think about, my default is usually to just flat, and to be honest it's something I haven't questioned much.

i excluded the combo draws because i think he would just re-raise the flop with them.

in general i think most people re-raise flops with super super strong range and generally just flat more hands if they think you're bluffing or semi-bluffing a lot. therefore raising lighter for value works well because they re-raise all the hands which beat you and flat with the hands which you beat. so it changes their range in a way that really helps you make more money when you beat them, and saves you money when they beat you (since presumably if board bricks off u just call down with KJ)

i think that he will 3bet the flop with AJ+, and never re-raise flop as a bluff (i cant remember ever seeing an opponent who 3bets this type of flop as a bluff because we rep quite a lot of hands that we are going with).

i think that he will peel often with any Jx, and maybe some 9x or TT type hands. he will peel with QT/weak flush draws and maybe even KT/QK/T8 too.

i also feel that on a lot of turns we dont get much value from worse hands as a lot of people at NL100 and below wont barrel often, they just check fold turn a lot after cbetting.

cant edit post, but basically what all that means is i can comfortably raise/fold the flop and when called i know that i can bet/call any blank turn vs majority of players.

additionally though we just get a lot more money in with the best hand.

Cool, figured as much.

~7 min in, KJ BvB on J93s vs unknown. Jack you say you'd raise there often, what's the reasoning? It's really hard to come up with 50%+ equity vs a calling range, and I really don't think we can assume is flatting stuff like AhQh and not 3 betting or shipping. I think it's a lot better with AJ, though.

if someone 3bets to 9 you 4bet to 24? Thats way too big. 21 is plenty, your not 4bet bluffing enough i guess..

Hi Oliver, thanks for watching.

I think the reason why I made it 37 in the vid there was because I normally am quite used to making it double the 3bet + some. So normally I would 3bb he would make it like 9bb and i would make it about 24bb which is double 9 + some more.

While talking and playing, I didnt realise that I had made it 5bb pre and he 3bet to 15. I think a better sizing would have been 29-30bb in retrospect.

although it was a 'joint' video, i cant speak for john, but i assume he didnt realise he was 100bb deep and thought he was deeper. seems a strange sizing, i must say

Very good vid, enjoyed hearing the thought process of a solid player on standard situations that happen often at these limits
